PROJECT SCOPE:

Delivery of turnkey package – consisting of Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Commission & Supervision of Electrical & Automation Solutions for our client’s new built Multicat Vessel.

DESIGN, PRODUCTION & EXECUTION:

The initial step towards laying footwork to the project was creating the elaborate design for the electrical installations, which included Load flow analysis developed from the approved SLD provided by the Customer and a Short circuit study of the General arrangement drawings & Other schematic drawing for the provided systems. KDU subsequently provided the following control and monitoring systems for the new build Multicat vessel:

• Alarm Monitoring System
• Power Management System – integrated with MSB
• Propulsion Control System
• Engine Remote Control System Incl. Shaft RPM Monitoring
• Tank Gauging System
• Bilge Alarm Monitoring System
• Steering Control System

KDU’s Technical and Solutions team ensured that the Electrical package designed & delivered was a succesful solution through every phase of it by providing their over all supervision from obtaining class approvals to its installations and commissioning of the full customized package

The main highlight of this project was performing the first ever installation of DEIF’s ML300 series Power Management System in the Middle East. Being the authorised  service & supply agent for DEIF, the global leader in power control solutions,  for over a decade in the region, this opportunity was a proud moment for KDU Group to prove its expertise.
